Who writes this

Who writes Runeterra.org, who owns it, and how it is funded. Two editors, no company behind them, no money in it, and one address that is read.

Who we are

Runeterra.org is a small independent team of Riot Games fans following the Runeterra MMO that Riot has announced and not yet shown.

We are two editors. Neither of us works for Riot Games, and neither of us has access to anything Riot has not made public.

Sabrebar

Editor. Founded the site and keeps the record of facts it is built on.

Sabrebar started Runeterra.org in 2026, after four years of watching the same 2021 pitch get retold in the present tense with no link back to where any of it was said.

Sabrebar maintains the record the articles are built from: one note per claim, each carrying the date it was made, the primary document it came from, and a status saying how solid it is, and wrote the source policy the site runs on, which admits Riot's own material and public records and nothing else.

Writes across the project, the analysis and the reference pages.

VenomHunterq

Editor. Writes on the world of Runeterra and on what a game could do with it.

VenomHunterq covers the world itself: the regions, the champions, the lore Riot has published and the parts it has deliberately left open.

The work starts from Riot's own Universe material rather than from wikis or other people's articles, and each piece ends on what the text actually commits to and what it leaves for a game to use.

Also follows the transmedia side, from Arcane to the card games, for what each piece revealed about the world before the MMO did.

Who owns the site

The two of us, and nobody else. There is no company behind Runeterra.org, no parent group, no network, and no third party with a say in what gets published.

How it is funded

It is not. The site carries no advertising, no sponsorship, no affiliate links and no paid placement, and it has never accepted payment from anyone in exchange for coverage. Nothing here is sponsored content.

The work is voluntary and the project is run on a not-for-profit basis. The only costs are the domain and the hosting, and we pay them ourselves.

If that ever changes, this page changes first, and the change will say what it is.

Where we publish from

Runeterra.org is edited from the United States. We write in British English.

How to reach us

Write to contact@runeterra.org. It reaches both of us and it is read.

That is the address for corrections, for a primary source we have missed, for a factual dispute, and for anything Riot's own team wants to raise with us. Corrections are handled the way the method page describes: the article is edited and carries an "Updated" date from then on, and there are no silent edits.
